The RENATER network offers the following specificities :
- Architecture based on dark fibers and DWDM equipments, to allow fast evolutions of the bandwidth.
- A generalization of 10 Gigabit Ethernet in the network.
- Architecture with a complete meshing on all the points of presence of the network
- Possibility of filling very high broadband needs for the big research projects by establishing end to end optical fiber between the points of presence
