The GIP RENATER participates in diverse national or international decision-making bodeies to define the operational rules of the Internet and the IP protocols standardization activities. Some of these places of collaboration are mentioned below
IETF [Internet Engineering Task Force]
Authority of protocols standardization , the IETF gathers more than hundred of ’ working groups ’ ( WGs) working each on a specific theme described in its charter. The WGs is grouped in ’ Area ’ under the control of one ’ Area Director ’.

RIPE has a double structure: the RIPE-NCC, which operates the Regional Register of the Internet for Europe and the RIPE “Forum”, grouping the operators and the IP service providers to inform them and elaborate the rules of the Internet.
