IPv6 deployment on RENATER network

The RENATER network provides an IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity service (in native mode since 2003). RENATER most frequently connects the sites via regional or metropolitan networks among which near a third support the IPv6 protocol.
Visualisation tools, as well as IPv6 “weathermap” (since february 2009) are available on the RENATER web site.
RENATER allocates IPv4 and IPv6 prefixes to its community.
In addition to unicast, RENATER provides a multicast service in native mode for both versions of IP protocols (IPv4 and IPv6) mainly used to retransmit video.
